Understand Your Finances
Unless you’re a finance major, for most people understanding your finances can be pretty complicated. Thanks to The Establishment it doesn’t need to be. Through there in-person classes and webinars, you can improve your knowledge in retirement planning, buying your first home, investing, navigating your taxes, and more. To make these classes fun, The Establishment has also incorporated wine and craft cocktail pairings with some of their classes!

Wine 101
Looking to discover the intricacies of wine? With a wine 101 class you’ll learn about the aromas and flavors within your glass to help you enjoy wine at a deeper level. Check out the upcoming wine tasting classes at Winkler & Samuels, Alchemy Wine & Beer, and Freedom Run Winery.

Explore Your Creative Side
We get it, not everyone is a natural born artist, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be taught! If you’re interested in water color, binding your own book, creating a decorative sign, and more, you’ll find a ton of these workshops are offered around the area. Some places that are constantly hosting a variety of classes are Create Flow Buffalo, WNY Book Arts Center, Loaded Lumber, Roycroft Campus, The Foundry, and MUSEjar.

Elevate Your Cooking/Baking Expertise
There is a satisfaction that comes with being a boss in the kitchen. If your current level of cooking is as good as a PB&J, not to worry, Niagara Falls Culinary Institute offers a range of public classes to help you become the chef you’ve always wanted to be. If baking is more your interest, The Sweet Whisk offers some fun hands on chocolate bar and truffle making classes. If you’ve got your cooking and baking down but could use some help in the decorating department, Chrusciki Bakery offers cookie and cake decorating classes to teach you the proper techniques.

Grow Your Green Thumb
If you have trouble caring for your garden, you are not alone. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens and Urban Roots offer classes specializing in the foundations of horticulture, seed starting, soil science and more. Come spring, you’ll be an expert with a flourishing garden as proof!
