Stacey Solomon has been snapped up by Reese Witherspoon‘s media company to host a new Channel 4 home improvement show.

The TV personality, 33, has been scouted out by the Hollywood star’s firm following the success of her own BBC decluttering series, Sort Your Life Out.

Stacey is set to host upcoming Channel 4 series Bricking It, which will be Reese’s production company Hello Sunshine’s first ever UK show, according to The Sun.

Bricking It will see Stacey help homeowners who have been let down by poor builders and give them cost-effective tips to help them do the jobs themselves.

Stacey, who often shows off her crafty creations on social media, will also learn new tasks including bricklaying and plastering as she takes on DIY challenges.

Stacey took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share the exciting news, saying she will start filming for Bricking It in the summer, after taking a break from work to welcome her fifth child.

In a video, she said: ‘So for a little while I’ve been talking to Channel 4 and a production company called Hello Sunshine, which was founded by Reese Witherspoon.

‘She created it to champion women on TV and she’s just incredible at building women up and putting them at the forefront.

‘They asked me if I wanted to make a show with them, and I was like “hell yeah, I’ll make a show with Reese Witherspoon’s production company!”. They are words I never thought I’d say!

‘So in the summer, we are going to start filming a show called Bricking It and it’s basically going to be a show where we go in and help people who have been done over by bad builders, run out of funding and can’t finish the project to get them where they need to be.

‘And I get to learn new skills along the way, so I’m going to learn things that I have always wanted to do but I’m not confident with, so like roofing, brick-laying, proper DIY. I can’t wait, I’m so excited.’

A TV insider told The Sun that the new hosting job could potentially lead to other exciting work opportunities in America.

They said: ‘This is huge news for Stacey and proof of her growing status in the TV world.

‘To be on Reece’s radar is mightily impressive and her company was adamant they wanted Stacey to front the new show.’

MailOnline has contacted Stacey and Reese’s representatives for comment.

Her new hosting gig comes after the success of her series Sort Your Life Out, which returned to the BBC for a second series on Wednesday night.

The show sees Stacey and her team help families to transform their homes by decluttering, up-cycling and recycling their belongings.

And after series two’s debut episode, viewers were left in tears as the team helped a young couple struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

The team helped young parents Shar and Dan, who were drowning in clutter in their two-bedroom rented council house in Richmond.

The couple, who have two young children, confessed part of their problem was their bulk buying to try to save money during the crisis – which had left their home overflowing with excessive products.

After the team helped them get rid of 50 per cent of their belongings, the space was reorganised with clever storage solutions and a lick of paint to freshen up each of the rooms.

Many of those watching were moved by the transformation, with one posting: ‘It’s so nice that Stacey and her team aren’t judgmental with the people they help, there is always a story behind what we have.’

Another added: ‘Currently crying over this show. What a beautiful family and a lovely house, so deserved. Well done Stacey and team.’

One person wrote: ‘Why does this show always make me cry?’
