Lloyd George runs a newsletter called Cre8tor Hub.
Over the last six months, he’s notched up 1.3 million views on TikTok and built a community of over 12k followers, and he says it’s all thanks to the power of social media.
In the lates Acast newsletter, Lloyd explains why making the most of social media is a game changer in terms of growing podcasts and getting more downloads.

“That’s why social media is such a powerful marketing strategy.”
Lloyd says it’s also a very affordable way to get noticed.
“You can start completely free. Social media’s upfront cost is solely time-based, and the low barrier to entry means anyone can create social media posts, start conversations, and build their presence.”
But Lloyd says unfortunately, a lot of podcast hosts don’t take advantage of the unique two-way, interactive aspect of social media, instead using it as a megaphone.
